About Tobago

Often described as the jewel of the Caribbean, Tobago is a stunning Caribbean island, just 26 miles long by 8 miles wide. Tobago is very much smaller and more laid back than its larger and busier sister island, Trinidad. The location, just off the coast of South America, is evident in the flora and fauna. Tobago is acknowledged as a bird-watchers paradise and boasts the oldest protected rainforest in the western hemisphere.

Being located just 11° degrees north of the equator, Tobago's climate is remarkably consistent throughout the year with daytime temperatures only varying by a degree or two. The island is south of the normal hurricane belt and hasn't suffered material storm damage since Hurricane Flora in 1963.
